Which Form of CBD Is the Right One for Me?
CBD is the hot new supplement that seems to be everywhere these days. It’s legal in the UK (provided the products follow established guidelines) and has recently become legal in the United States and other parts of the world. There are many forms of CBD, and since it’s so new, many are confused about which form of CBD is best for them. Here’s a quick look at the pros and cons of the various forms of CBD available now.
Edibles
CBD edibles are becoming more popular and come in different varieties, including CBD gummies, bars, and treats. The nice thing about them is that you can eat whatever kind you want and that there is a large variety—which gives you a ton of options. They typically take between 30–60 minutes to take effect. However, two things to consider. First, if you are on a diet, finding a CBD edible may be tougher, as they are often packed into sweet things. Second, you should check where you are before eating them if you’re travelling, as CBD edibles are not legal everywhere in the world.
Topicals
Topicals are balms and creams which can be rubbed into painful spots. As such, topicals are usually best to use when you are looking to get rid of a particular sore spot, or an area where you have some sort of skin problems, as CBD may be helpful at addressing a variety of skin conditions. This includes acne, scarring, rosacea, eczema and more. When applied to the skin, CBD topicals can take up to 90 minutes to work. However, additional applications can speed this process.
Vaping
Vaping is all the rage nowadays. With it, you take a CBD product and load it, and related equipment (including a vaping battery and pen) into a vape. You can then inhale the CBD directly. Vaping CBD products is the quickest way to ingest the product, and it usually takes no more than 1–3 minutes to work. However, vaping is often banned in many public locations, so the places where you can vape may be limited.
Tinctures
Tinctures are essentially droplets of CBD which can be taken directly (usually placed under the tongue) or mixed into a drink of your preference. They are highly variable, so you can get tinctures in all different flavors, or none at all. Since they are taken sublingually, it doesn’t take a lot of time before users begin to feel their full effects – often no more than ten minutes. Unfortunately, controlling dosage can be hard, as it is difficult to measure the amount which comes from the droplets.
Since CBD is still so new, we are still learning new methods of how to use it. However, the good news is that this product is highly adaptable, meaning that you can find a method that works best for you. Take your time, and figure out which method of ingestion with which you are most comfortable and that works best for you.
